We installed 4 new mooring buoys in Pescador Island which helps to give all dive boats and island hopping boats enough mooring capabilities to preserve the delicate marine life.
With the increase of Dive Shop and Island hopping boats there is an increasing need for mooring buoys around the island to prevent illegal anchoring on the coral reef.
We use rubber lines provided by the Moalboal government which will be attached around coral rocks or looped through crevices in the reef. The lines will be secured and tied with nylon line. As surface float we use Styrofoam balls also provided by Moalboal government.
We use these materials and technique for the last 10 years and it works well for the diving boats in Moalboal. The installation is easy and low cost.
